1:00am a text message coming from a coworker's friend that Tiongsan Harrison building is burning.
5:00pm went on the street, and have sight the Tiongsan Harrison building. The street is covered with the foggy ashes of remains.
Baguio people is undeniably curious on what's happening on Tiongsan Harrison Building.
Traffic in Baguio City's central business district was snarled after a
fire of still undetermined origin hit a supermarket there Wednesday
afternoon.
Radio dzRH reported that as of 4:30 p.m., thick smoke was still coming out of the Tiongsan Department Store and Supermarket along Harrison St. near Session Road.
The report said firefighters had a hard time fighting the blaze as many people gathered to watch the fire, even as sales clerks tried to rush back into the burning building to save merchandise.
No one was reported injured in the fire, which was initially monitored at the rooftop area. The upper floors of the department store building housed appliances and mattresses.
Earlier, a report on Q-11 television said the fire started at the storage room and rooftop, even as firefighters and water delivery trucks rushed to the area. The fire reached Task Force Bravo as of 3 p.m., with the Benguet Electric Cooperative sending a boom truck to help firefighters. -
